The Old Jail Museum is located in downtown
Barnesville featuring a look back at Barnesville's history as the Buggy
Capital of the South.
Loaded with memorabilia, you'll have an
opportunity to take a walk back in time. New exhibits are regularly
developed so you'll want to visit each time you come through Barnesville.

Cara Studios
Visit a gem of an historic building and HGTV Feature Property: The old Carnegie Library built in 1910 and operational until 1987, is a National Historic Register Property. Cara, an artist and poet, restored the building in the early 1990's. She established an unusual and inviting atmosphere for an art studio, gallery and home. Cara plays host to a variety of arts events and is well known for her paintings and unique art performances. Gardeners trek to Barnesville to see the lush sculpture garden she created on the property. Cara's library is a hidden treasure your group or organization won't want to miss.
