3 Year Strategic Plan
Our Strategic Direction: 2026–2029
The Barnesville–Lamar County Chamber of Commerce’s 2026–2029 Strategic Plan provides a clear roadmap for strengthening our business community, building effective partnerships, and supporting the long-term prosperity of Barnesville and Lamar County.
The plan is organized around four strategic priorities:
Voice of Business and Government Affairs
Strengthen business advocacy, encourage informed engagement with public leaders, and ensure our members have a coordinated voice on issues that affect economic growth.
Advance Community and Workforce Solutions
Build partnerships among employers, educators, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders to address workforce needs and create greater opportunities for residents and businesses.
Expand Engagement and Membership
Increase member value, strengthen participation, develop regional partnerships, and connect more businesses with the relationships and resources they need to succeed.
Strengthen Economic Vitality
Support entrepreneurship, business growth, community investment, and initiatives that strengthen both our local economy and the Chamber’s ability to serve our community.
This strategic plan is a living roadmap that will guide our programs, partnerships, and priorities through 2029. Its success will depend on collaboration among our members, community partners, educational institutions, local governments, and economic development leaders.
Together, we are building a stronger Chamber and a more prosperous future for Barnesville and Lamar County.
